These videos were made to honor the remembrance of a great man, a great friend, a great teacher, Durwin White Lightning. He shared many teachings with myself and with our families. He shared his culture, his way, his people. The video features an original song written and performed by OmegaFire and Haznebakuk from Studio 144. The song entitled Peace Warrior tells a little of his story, and honors Durwin White Lightning for his heart, for his service, and for his spirit. A good portion of this video was filmed at the Elder Youth Gathering in Pamplin Grove, in an ancient redwood forest in southern Humboldt County in northern California. This gathering was a truly beautiful success, and wouldn t have been possible without Durwin and the Native American Church family and friends. I was blessed to be a part of it, and will always hold the memory of this weekend in my heart. I will also hold Durwin's memory in my heart and continue to spread his truth and his way as a Peace Warrior.
